Strategy 1: Use more images
People rarely read a full paragraph online and there’s no doubt people are skimming on your website as well. We suggest the less is more approach. Go as light on as possible with the text while setting the mood with images instead. More images, less text…remember it.
Strategy 2: More human faces
As visitors trawl through your website pages, they’re subconsciously looking for more ways to make deep connections with your product or service. One way to accomplish this is to use human faces. People connect with people. Not with pictures of phones, screens or tools you use to deliver your service. Think about it, when was the last time you felt a personal connection with a piece of electronics? So you want to make a deeper connection with your customers? Try adding a few people that look super happy!
Strategy 3: Use more videos
Want to automatically set your website apart from 90% of your competition? Then use video! Videos are easy to make, they raise the trust level of your website and engage the customer at a much deeper level than having a website filled with text. These could be short 15-30 second snippets of only you discussing your product or service or very simply showing it off.
Strategy 4: Better design and customer experience
So the way we see it, building a business is like being in the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Fortunately, most of your competitors enter the race using a website that is akin to a billy cart, with some half-broken wheels and a tonne of engineering issues which forces them to pull to the side of the track every few seconds. Sad to say a lot of these folks won’t make it.
We don’t launch a clients website until we have a freaking aerodynamically tested, 600kw, Formula 1 speed machine! In other words, a professionally designed, cohesively branded website, with good copy, and a simple process to convert visitors into buyers. We want to make that race as unfair as possible.
So while the competition is running a website developed by some backyard operator that was a poor investment to begin with, we give you a product which will actually bring you a return on your investment when used correctly.
If you don’t have a cohesive brand? We create a solid one for you. Your site doesn’t have a video? We develop the creative and capture one for you. You don’t have online chat? We set up online chat and an easy way for customers to interact with your team. Making money off your website just became a lot simpler!
Strategy 5: Borrow Credibility
We suggest borrowing credibility from other sites that have mentioned your product/services that visitors would immediately recognize, and this would increase your credibility and trust. Super simple stuff but it works.
You’ll be surprised by how many websites either miss this completely or hide these logos on inner pages that no one ever sees. For us, if it does not happen on the homepage, it may as well not happen at all.
